Active listening (Romania)

Description of the activity carried out
The activity presented in the video aims at making students use empathy in assessing their peers’ work, as well as enabling them to manage their emotions when presenting their work in public. The teacher gave the instructions to the students: some of them had to make PowerPoint presentations, and their classmates had to assess their work by using coloured post-its on flipchart sheets. The post-its had emoticons on them—“happy”, “sad” or “indifferent”. After viewing the presentations, the students wrote their feedback on the post-its and stuck them on the flipchart sheets. The presenters expressed their feelings related to the presentations and also to the feedback. The activity was extremely welcomed by the participants, who liked giving feedback, encouraging their classmates or managing their emotions while presenting their work.
