Into action (Romania)

Description of the activity carried out
The activity enabled students to focus on communicating their thoughts while ignoring distractions and to manage their emotions while delivering a speech in front of a public. The teacher explained to the students that they would have to introduce themselves through the activities they like doing, but at the same time to follow the teacher’s orders of movement. The objective was for the students to focus on the speech and ignore the distractions. At the end of the activity, the students shared the emotions they experienced during the exercise. Most of them felt uncomfortable because they did not know what was going to happen next, experienced fear, and felt ashamed to speak in public. The activity is extremely beneficial for the students, because they have to speak in front of other people all the time and in this way they can become aware of their emotions so that they can manage them better.
